I made a guest cry today (don’t worry, it’s a happy story).
I was on the Event team doing the Cinderella craft event this evening when a mother all by herself approached me. She asked if she could have a craft to take home and explained that she had a little 5 year old prince who was utterly smitten with Cinderella. I was more than happy to give him some goodies, so I bagged up the craft and the Prince Charming door sign that we had. The Mom explained that her son had met Cinderella earlier that year at WDW and he fell in love with her, so much so that he’s going to have his birthday party in November all Prince Charming-themed.
Well after hearing all this, I knew I had to do something extra special for him. So I grabbed up some paper and asked mom to wait just a moment. I got a blue marker and in the backroom I wrote a letter for the little prince from Cinderella, saying she missed seeing him and hoped he enjoyed this craft. I signed it in the best rendition of the signature from Cinderella I could and presented it to the mother. At this point she started crying and thanked me so much for it. I told her to let the prince know that Cinderella wished him well and then sealed the letter with one of our Cinderella stickers to make it “official royal mail.”
Mom insisted on giving me a hug before leaving, saying she was certain her little prince would be so touched. I told her it was the least I could do for a prince who misses his princess.

This isn’t my usual type of post, but it was too magical not to share.
